Berea has many opportunities to get involved formally and socially. Below is a list of some of the Adult Programs currently available:
Adult Christian Education
Christian education opportunities for adults are held on Sunday mornings at 9:20am and Thursday mornings at 10:00am from the Thursday after Labor Day to the Thursday before Memorial Day.
Berea Book Club
This group meets monthly to review/discuss the scheduled book of the month. Announcements in the bulletin include the list of upcoming books and meeting information.
Church Council
The Church Council is comprised of an elected body of people that include: President; President-elect; (3) Elders; (3) Stewards; and (3) Deacons. Please consult the Leadership/Organization web page for more information on elected and appointed positions.
Embers of Berea
This is a group of senior citizens from the congregation that meet the third Tuesday of every month. (Meeting times may be adjusted during the summer months – please consult the church calendar.)
Lutheran Women’s Ministry League (LWML)
Women within the congregation who provide support of mission efforts by means of mite box offerings. “Mite” is based on the Biblical account of the widow's mite (Luke 21:1-4). The mite box is intended for regular contributions of "mites” – offerings above and beyond the regular support given to congregation.
Music
The music program of our parish is under the direction of our Music Director and Assistant Music Director and currently includes Senior Choir and Handbells. People who have musical talent such as: an interest in singing, ringing or a willingness to provide instrumental music, should make this known to our Music Director. We will gladly utilize the musical gifts of our parishioners every opportunity we can.
Softball Team
A men’s softball team is organized every summer. Watch for announcements in the bulletin and/or notices on our website for the person to contact if you are interested.
